Who we are
Shoerism ("Shoerism", "we", "us", or "our") is an audio-guided running app that provides curated city running routes, landmark stories, and runner-friendly guidance. Shoerism is operated by Envizzio. This Privacy Policy applies to the Shoerism mobile application, the website at this domain, and related services (together, the "Service").
If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Service. By using the Service you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.
Information we collect
We collect only the information needed to deliver guided running routes and to improve the Service. The categories below describe what we may collect.
Location data
With your permission, Shoerism collects precise device location (GPS) while you use the app to guide you along a route, trigger timed audio cues, show your position on the map, and record your run. Depending on your settings, location may be accessed in the foreground while the app is open and in the background while a run is in progress, so guidance continues when your screen is off or you switch apps. You can grant, limit, or revoke location access at any time in your device settings; without it, route guidance and run tracking will not function.
Account and contact information
If you create an account or join the waitlist, we collect information such as your name and email address. We use your email to send the updates, confirmations, or account communications you request.
Activity and fitness data
When you complete a run, we may store run details such as the route taken, distance, duration, pace, and timestamps so you can review your activity and, if you choose, share it. This data is associated with your account.
Device and usage information
We automatically collect limited technical information such as device type, operating system version, app version, language, general app interactions, and diagnostic or crash data. We use aggregated and anonymized analytics to understand how the Service is used and to fix problems.
Information we do not collect
We do not knowingly collect payment card numbers, government identifiers, health records beyond the activity data described above, or other sensitive categories of personal data that are not required to run the Service.
How we use your information
- Provide route guidance, timed audio stories, maps, and run tracking.
- Save and display your past runs and activity history.
- Send the account, waitlist, or support messages you request.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the Service.
- Understand usage through aggregated, de-identified analytics.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising purposes. We share information only in the limited circumstances below.
- At your direction. If you choose to connect a third-party service such as Strava and upload a run, we share the run data needed to complete that upload. Your use of that third-party service is governed by its own privacy policy.
- Service providers. We use trusted vendors for hosting, maps, analytics, and crash reporting who process data on our behalf and only under instructions consistent with this policy.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of users, the public, or Shoerism.
- Business transfers. If Shoerism is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
Data retention
We keep personal information only for as long as needed to provide the Service and for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time using the contact details below.
How we protect your information
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including encryption of data in transit, to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
- Location. Grant, limit, or revoke location permission at any time in your device settings.
- Access and deletion. Request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account and personal information.
- Correction. Ask us to correct inaccurate information.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. To exercise any right, contact us using the details below; we will respond as required by applicable law.
Children's privacy
Shoerism is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
International users
We may process and store information in countries other than where you live. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we take steps to ensure it remains protected consistent with this policy and applicable law.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
